How much do your services cost?
Until and unless there is a recovery for you, you pay no fee. If we win your case, either by trial or settlement, we are paid a percentage of the award. For cases involving infants, the court sets the fee. Our out-of-pocket expenses are also reimbursed at the end of the case. For most cases, we receive one third of the award. For malpractice cases, we receive
30% of the first $250,000
25% of the next $250,000
20% of the next $500,000
15% of the next $250,000
10% on the amount over $1,250,000
Malpractice fees are set by law.

Do I have to go to court?
Usually not. Most cases are settled before they ever go to trial. Once your case is settled there is, of course, no testimony at trial. Because of your own special needs, or the circumstances involving your case, it may be beneficial to settle, rather than go to court. At such a moment, the decision is in your hands, and we are there to advise you.
In working for you, we always prepare as if your case were going to trial. We are trial attorneys who are in court every day. These efforts exert maximum pressure on defending insurance companies. Our firm's 46 years of experience brings recognized strength and resources on behalf of your case. Defendants know that we are extremely thorough in preparing a case. They know we are ready to proceed to trial. That knowledge often works to achieve a full settlement for you.

If another attorney refers me to you, will I have to pay extra fees?
No. There are no additional fees when more than one attorney or law firm is involved in your case. You pay only one legal fee. You receive the same amount from a settlment or judgment, regardless of how many attorneys worked on the case. All attorneys share in a single fee.
|
Why would my attorney refer my case to you, and not handle it himself?
The answer is that many cases come from attorneys who neither specialize in personal injury cases nor handle major personal injury or malpractice cases - and we do. We are experts in these fields of law, while the referring attorney may be an authority in another field.
|
How long does a case take to either settle or win a judgment?
We don't have a hard and fast answer. The backlog in the courts usually affects the length of a case. In representing you, we will seek to move your case forward as rapidly as possible. Our long years of experience often help speed up the process. Based on our experience, it is likely that attorneys for the other side will settle well before your case ever reaches court.
|
Which attorney will handle my case?
Our approach is to make every attorney in our firm familiar with your case. First, it enables us to bring the collective knowledge and experience of the firm to bear on your case. Second, this approach helps us move your case more quickly through the court system. Third, you are always assured of reaching an attorney who is familiar with your case.
